Stella Smith Reed's Scrapbook: Detailing life in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

This scrapbook and notebook was prepared by Stella Smith Reed, wife of David Bliss Reed. Stella was born in 1875 in Ringgold County, Iowa. It was near there that she married D.B. Reed. The two moved to the New Sweden or Osgood areas of Idaho Falls, where they began a family farm that survives to this day. This scrapbook offers insights into the life of a farmer's wife at the time, and into life in general in the area. Many news clippings accompany Stella's own notations, and comments written by friends and relatives. Stella died in 1971, and the original scrapbook remains in the family.
